    1. So it will have a higher worldwide gross than Project Hail Mary but a lower worldwide gross than Michael.

I feel like Wicked: Part One would make a good comparison, considering DWP2 will end up somewhere around its gross ($758m).

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is doing great and it is already a huge success, but the difference between it and Michael is just evident.

And I agree, 690M-740M seems good.

    4. $700M for a movie like this is truly incredible. I’ve been on the $600M train for an awhile, but I was thinking that would be the ceiling.

$700M for a non-fantasy, non-CGI comedy in this current time is incredible. Warner Bros and Paramount, you need to make Hangover and Mean Girls sequels ASAP

Holy shit. Absolutely incredible. Meryl Streep is truly one of a kind. So lucky to exist alongside her.

Why this movie so big? The first one wasn’t this big and this isn’t even based on a book.

That comparison isn’t really a fair one because the release cycles internationally was not the same. Prada was released everywhere simultaneously. Michael was not released at the same time in 3 key markets, japan, south Korea and russia. I suspect also that Hail Mary was not simultaneous, released everywhere the way Prada was, but I could be wrong there.
