I’m joking but it needs another 2-3 weeks to hit a billion it seems like

Its gonna crawl its way past $1B. Has at least another $25M-ish left from Domestic and Japan and the rest should be able to muster the remaining $10M
Welcome back Jurassic World: Dominion.

A Minecraft Movie finished its global run with 960M.
Everything is pointing towards a 1B+ final for Super Mario Galaxy, unless the digital release affects it badly.
Universal/Illumination/Nintendo can be happy with this result, but in order to avoid another significant decrease, they‘ll have to improve on the quality or else this was the last time a Mario film earns 1B+!
The current TOP 10 Animation ranking remains unchanged:
1. Ne Zha 2 (BENIJING ENLIGHT) – 2.2B
2. Zootopia 2 (DISNEY) – 1.87B
3. Inside Out 2 (DISNEY/PIXAR) – 1.7B

Billion is all but locked.
I *still* hope they hire better writers for the next one. Or ***three***. Rumors says that Illumination is now officially handling *Star Fox*, as well as a Peach spinoff, *Mario 3* and their own crap.
I’m getting Marvel under Chapek flashbacks.
That’s… not a good thing…

Nice, where I predicted. This has a chance at 1b

I’m surprised this did not take the world / BO by storm
I fully expected it to be more than the first.

Pretty much past Minecraft at this point, and will set its sights on overtaking DM4 over this week during the Memorial Day weekend. $1 billion is still in the cards.

It’s gonna be close! $36 million left!

If Mario Galaxy and Michael both hit $1B, that would be the first time since July 2019 (Spider-Man: Far From Home and The Lion King) where 2 films released within the same month hit $1B.
