It still hasn’t opened in Russia and Japan (!)…, and Memorial Day weekend is still coming.
This also means that Michael will become the highest grossing biopic of all time, beating Oppenheimer’s 975M!
The next big film is going to be Disney/Pixar‘s Toy Story 5 in mid June.
Multiple 1B+ films incoming…👀

Is 1B locked? I think 900m should definitely happen but 1B seems more likely every weekend

Like everyone is saying another insane hold.
I said it last weekend but the best thing Michael has going for it is the only big release is Star Wars and I’d expect 150-160m International total for baby Yoda.
So, Star Wars won’t hurt it much. Backrooms breaks out domestically but International will probably do fine. After, that He-man and Scary Movie. Two more films that are non starters internationally.
Is it possible for it to hit $1 billion, because I think it looks possible.

Time for 1b for the king.

Unless I have this wrong according to this and excluding Korea its international weekend drop was around 8%. Unbelievable.

Universal could be the next studio after Disney to have 10 $1 Billion with this I know this will be Lionsgate’s biggest movie ever and their first, and hopefully Mario will do it as well which help Universal bring it up to 11 films.
