    1. Hoping for $20M opening, I think it’s possible considering the incredible WOM.

      Strong number.

This thing is likely to break out with strong WOM for Inde Navarrette’s performance and the unsettling tone of the film.

Reminder that the budget was only $1M. We have something massive here.

    4. Huge number! Double-digit opening for sure then. Could realistically beat Mortal Kombat II in its 2nd weekend. We’ll see!

I’m going Saturday and am stoked

Obsession was absolutely batshit crazy, just as much as Send Help earlier this year.

Excellent movie. I think it can hit 20m tbh. Will definitely have that Weapons style WOM.

      $2.6m?

I think this finishes 3rd with a $20m-$21m OW. $50m+ DOM for this kind of movie helps balance out the rest of May

With Passenger opening next week and Backrooms right after that, I think its legs could get cut short. But on a $1M budget, it’s going to be quite profitable regardless.

    9. The $2.6MM includes early access, but that aside, below are some horror movies that opened similarly:

      Longlegs ($3.0MM)

      Terrifier 3 ($2.6MM)

      The Black Phone 2 ($2.6MM)

      Evil Dead Rise ($2.5MM)

      Smile ($2.0MM)
