Reading between the lines of some of these comments, I’m not sure I’m too confident. Lots of discussion that it feels like a TV movie, with episodes stitched together a la Moana 2, and that it’s far too long and devoid of substance.
But hey, Grogu’s in it (and so is Babu Frik apparently), which may be enough to carry it for some! And then there’s Zeb. Zebillion dollars incoming?

Crazy how the first two seasons felt like a course correction for Star Wars in the Disney era, then it all fell apart after that

Not even the trades can spin the reactions positively. Let’s see if it is review dependent or one of those movies which does well regardless.

And these are the FIRST reactions? Ones that usually fawn over the movie? Holy shit.

Yikes that’s bad. I was already pretty unconfident with this but this seals it. Definite flop.

This is the early reaction to the first Star Wars movie in 7 years that stars the most popular Star Wars characters of the 2010s
Lower than Solo ain’t likely
But

I‘m saying it now, if this reaches $400 million worldwide, everyone involved should be happy.

I’ve only seen positive and mixed and when you read past the headline and see the reviews they added to their article there’s only one negative.
was already not a fan of the tv show but still interested to see this

Oh man. I knew from all the trailers that it had that “TV movie” vibe but I was really hoping they would make it feel like a more grandiose adventure.
Especially considering the fact that it’s Star Wars, and those movies are known for being grandiose, galaxy-spanning epics.

Another Solo level performance. Disney really killed the golden goose.

2026 RottenTomatoes so basically no chance it finishes under 72-74% but not sure reactions will help the movie much. Also have a feeling OS won’t be great (sold just 1 ticket out of ~3000 in my local cinema).

They already spent theit film payoff in the very underwhelming season 3.
Retaking Mandalore and the fight against space Gus Fring should’ve been the climatic cinematic event.
Instead we have man and child visit big slugs

Yeah, this one’s about to do for Solo what recent superhero flops have been doing from Black Adam

If the early reactions are bad, then I can only imagine how bad the reviews will be.
This might be a rotten movie.

Social media reactions tend to be way more generous than the actual reviews, this DOA

With these reactions i’m predicting 55-65% on RT, B+ cinemascore. $400m ww total

Seems like they wanted a clickbait title.
