I guess it will reach around $416-417 million next week, $420 million is certain because there’s still the Memorial Day holiday and that will be Mario’s final, very important boost.

Mario’s domestic run is pretty much over. Mario is 2m ahead of Minecraft’s 40 day mark.
Over/Under $425m final domestic & $575m final international (if Japan keeps pumping up these fine numbers). If I were a betting man, I would say that it would inch past $1b worldwide. We shall see, I believe that by the end of May we will know for sure if it’s passing it or not.
I was listening to a podcast about this film and some of the commentators on there said this would have already crossed a billion dollars if Universal didn’t rush this film onto streaming. Do you agree or disagree with that analysis?
