      So with inflation factored in, DWP made about $510M – which the sequel will beat.

      That’s despite strong Michael competition. I wish it had released this week instead of filling a schedule previously held by marvel. Female audience tequilita different approaches. To be fair no one was expecting Michael was going to be so female heavy.

      The real story is the overseas performance of *Devil Wears Prada 2*. Its current international gross is $222 million, compared to Michael’s $283m, which has been out for a week longer (granted *without* SK and Japan).

      Deadline’s estimate a few days ago for this coming weekend was $460m globally total for DWP2. If it holds, we could be looking in the $700m range.
