I hope that Warner Bros. ramps up the quality of the writing. The first one had the novelty of being the very first *Minecraft* movie, and I enjoyed it for what it was (saw it 3 times).
But as we have seen with Mario Galaxy, you cannot rely on glittery references, memes, and barebones storytelling for long before a signifcant chunk of the audience is turned off.
And Mario Bros. grossed $1.36 billion, compared to Minecraft’s $960 million, so if the Minecraft Movie sequel drops from its predecessor, we’d be looking at $700 – $800m.

They’re not giving Man of Tomorrow much breathing room, but I reckon most superhero movies do the bulk of their business up front.

That release date is so dumb this movie could do very well in October or even September

Could it be even shitter than the first one? It won’t matter because apparently the measure of quality for this audience is dogshit memes
