      *300* a biopic?

At the very least, *The Passion of Christ* mixes real historical figures with Jesus (whose historical existence is still disputed) and a few others, and is quite grounded. But *300* is a comic-to-film adaptation.

Its pretty much guaranteed to be #3 at minimum and at least #7 by the end of this weekend.

Really stretching the definition of biopic when you’re including a movie based on a comic book and a few others that are more historical fiction than true life stories

This list is a joke, at least half of it. How can Passion of the Christ be biography if we don’t really have any solid 100% proofs that all depicted in this movie (and in the Bible) really happened? Hi, Mom is semi-autobiographical fantasy movie. If I make a movie about Ghandi in which he is a superhero would that be considered biographical film? And 300??? WTF?

*Passion of the Christ* at no. 4 is impressive,  considering it released in 2004 and has the highest domestic gross on the list, $370m.

    6. How is The Passion of The Christ biographical? It’s a religious film. There isn’t any historical evidence any of that happened.

And don’t get me started on 300.

    7. Why is 300 on the list?

It’s a movie based on a graphic novel, doesn’t even try to be historically accurate, and more of a fictional/ mythological retelling of battle of Thermopylae.

Even the source material says it’s a fictional retelling.
