MK 2 gonna flop in Asian markets
When you think about it, the fact that only 3.9 million film tickets were sold the entire day is abysmal for a country with 1.4 billion people. The theatrical industry is just way down here, and one reason is the weak economy which has reduced consumer spending.
Apparently, China has one of the biggest video streaming markets in the world, with over 1 billion online video users. I bet the intense competition from online content has also impacted the moviegoing culture.
