“Just remind them of all the Star Wars movies they love ~~and The Last Jedi~~, that’ll get them to buy tickets”

Had to wait half the trailer to finally focus on Mando & Grogu, lmao.

I don’t think that it will bomb or disappoint financially (presales are decent so far).

But this spot just shows signs of desperation, especially with the flashbacks. Think that Disney/Lucasfilm has moved onto their bets onto Starfighter next May at this point, considering that it’s their big 50th anniversary thing.

Getting major The Marvels’ final trailer vibes.

    5. the baby yoda thing got old a while ago, like why is he a puppet that still makes baby sounds there should have been some growth. I know he sells toys but it’s tired now.

    6. I just can’t get hyped for this.

It lacks cinematic flair as it simply looks like a scrapped Season 4 of Mandalorian and not the grand return of Star Wars in cinemas after 7 years.

But put AT-AT’s, X-Wings, Grogu for the toy sales, a character from Rebels, the Force theme in every trailer for nostalgia bait, Sigourney Weaver for the star power and “We’re so back”, right?!

Heck, half of this trailer is footage from the Saga, which has ho relevance on the plot of this film.

The Marvels final trailer and D23 Rise of Skywalker vibes, which is a bad thing.

    7. I was expecting a Starfighter trailer, but I guess we’re getting one of those later this year

Yeah they’re definitely attaching the Doomsday trailer to this as a final act of desperation. It’ll probably be the Cinemacon one too, MAYBE with a scene attached too like Odyssey had if their THAT desperate

Between this being a direct to streaming looking project and the director of fucking big fat liar somehow directing a new star wars film, the future looks grim for the brand

    10. OP, this isn’t a trailer, this montage is just the usual May 4th clip highlighting fatherhood in the saga.

Unless someone out there thinks they’re teasing a qui-gon and Rey reunion in the film.
