That’s above the original (B). Compared to some of David Frankel’s films:

      – *Miami Rhapsody (1995):* B+

      – *The Devil Wears Prada (2006):* B

      – *Marley & Me (2008):* A

      – *The Big Year (2011):* B–

      – *Hope Springs (2012):* B

      – *Collateral Beauty (2016):* A–

Also, compared to other legacy comedy sequels:

      – *Blues Brothers 2000 (1998):* B–

      – *Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013):* B

      – *Dumb and Dumber To (2014):* B–

      – *Zoolander 2 (2016):* C+

      – *My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (2016):* A–

      – *Bad Santa 2 (2016):* C+

      – *Super Troopers 2 (2018):* B+

      – *Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024):* B+

Avoided the B+ very good score for a comedy bit of streak of A-s for the major tentpole releases Mario Galaxy, Michael and now this

i really liked it, but it felt like more of a drama than a comedy to me? i don’t think i was laughing very much tbh

Is that good? Why it didn’t got an A? 😬

How does that compares to the original?

So can *The Devil Wears Prada Prada 2* pull off an **$80M+** opening off *$10M* previews and A- CinemaScore.

Rotten Tomatoes score is around the same level as the first, and Cinemascore’s up by a good margin!

Legs will be curious going forward. Next week has the Mother’s Day benefit but how it holds in the third weekend is something to look at.
