Better then expected that was ranging around $9.5M-$10M previews which should have a shot of opening around $80M range then Thunderbolts had its projection before it went lower then expected around $74.3M opening weekend

    >Tracking has Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci sequel between $73M-$80M

So, it’ll at least be 2.65x its predecessor’s 27.5 million debut. Not too shabby at all.

Fantastic. I love how some earlier comments were saying that International sales were going to carry this film, all because projections went from $90 million to $75 million domestically. As if $75 million opening for this type of film isn’t fan-fucking-tastic. Some people really just root for movies to fail.

  4. The original projection was near $180M WW, which broke down to $73-80M DOM and $100M INT. Looks like whatever shortfall from overinflated domestic projections from frontloaded presales will be more than covered by overseas that’s already up to $40.5M before Friday.

So from 10M+ to 10M exactly. Will be interesting to see how the weekend goes.

Wait, it’s at $40.5M internationally *before* Friday!?

So, it had a full Thursday overseas where it opened basically everywhere?

Honestly this movie didn’t need to make a billion dollars so, even if this isn’t getting to the great heights everybody was expecting, this’ll do good for its budget and for the type of movie it is

A opening weekend domestically on par with Thunderbolts was not the majority opinion on this sub. 90-100m predictions got all the upvotes.

For the budget the film will be a huge hit but this film seem like it had way more potential. I know I bought into the hype.
