Fantastic. I love how some earlier comments were saying that International sales were going to carry this film, all because projections went from $90 million to $75 million domestically. As if $75 million opening for this type of film isn’t fan-fucking-tastic. Some people really just root for movies to fail.

The original projection was near $180M WW, which broke down to $73-80M DOM and $100M INT. Looks like whatever shortfall from overinflated domestic projections from frontloaded presales will be more than covered by overseas that’s already up to $40.5M before Friday.

Honestly this movie didn’t need to make a billion dollars so, even if this isn’t getting to the great heights everybody was expecting, this’ll do good for its budget and for the type of movie it is

For the budget the film will be a huge hit but this film seem like it had way more potential. I know I bought into the hype.
