Wait, so the premise is that only one day a year, SINGLE people can have sex, or date? Because you don’t need sex to go on dates, but the film makes it seem like only one day a year single people can date AND fornicate, however, couldn’t 2 people just pretend that they were a couple and fuck the rest of the year? And how is this enforced anyway? It’s going to bomb.

A movie where people go the whole year without sex? The reddit demographic says “what’s the big deal? I already do that.”
How does Callum turner keep getting roles? He’s got the charisma of a plank of wood. The guy can’t even do a convincing American accent.
I like Will Gluck and he never really misses, but this looks stupid (and I will likely go see it)

I have this as the August sleeper hit and I stand by it. Idk, I just have a feeling of this breaking out.
Ridiculously stupid. The adult parody will make more money than the actual movie.
Kind of a confounding premise given that this trailer is selling an otherwise grounded film that appears to take place within our own universe.
But I’ll see it. Looks enjoyable. Thrilled to see Monica Barbaro in a lead studio romcom role.
I really dig Callum Turner, he has the appeal Glen Powell thinks he has.
Also been great in everything I’ve seen him in.
This looks a bit dumb, but I kinda wanna see it, just because of their chemistry seems great.
If there isn’t a chaotic 30 second scene on Times Squares where everyone is humping and jumping on each other on top of cars and people are running around screaming then this film didn’t achieve its true potential
This is honestly kinda giving nothing. They make for an attractive pair but the premise doesn’t seem to do anything outstanding. I was half-expecting someone to try and murder them for breaking the rules and banging outside that date. Also, Will Gluck directing is a no from me (loved Easy A and nothing else).

These kind of I’m-so-clever high concept movies are generally super underwhelming as actual movies. Audiences don’t give a shit about loglines.
This is a really…weird tone for the premise. I would’ve assumed with such a strange concept that they would’ve gone a little more over the top, this seems oddly saccharine.
