Everyday I’m reminded that I don’t dislike the Israeli government enough.

Love that I’m forced to fund this with my taxes!! This is disgusting and abhorrent, and tragically enough I’m not surprised. Also when I was growing up the UN was displayed as a beacon of strength, and now that we actually need them it really feels like they’re a board of people that writes strongly worded statements.

Israel supports rape, beastiality and torture in their detention centres. Hell they put them all together at once, this is so disgusting.

At what point do our leaders (or Israel’s staunch supporters) stop defending this? Can you imagine the wall to wall coverage and how quickly sanctions etc. would follow if this news came out about a county other than Israel? JFC my municipality is currently flying their flag and Niagara Falls what lit blue for Israel this week…

The heartbreak is that people fought for the Nuremberg trials to show the world that perpetrators of state-sanctioned torture, rape, starvation and genocide would be held to account. That this could “never again” happen.

We need another round of trials and accountability. Too many people are too untouchable.

    Sickened but not surprised.

In August 2024, Israeli protesters, including current ministers, rallied against the arrest of IDF soldiers accused of severe abuse and rape of detainees at the Sde Teiman jail. They argued that soldiers should be able to treat Palestinian detainees however they see fit.
