Not surprised about the Miami Vice delay, but Mummy moving up to October? Must be ahead of schedule

Wow they’ve gotta be filming this summer for The Mummy then! I can’t believe it’s this close already after so many years of thinking it would never happen.

So The Mummy will be going up against… Batman’s 3rd weekend.

Well, assuming Batman even makes it to its release date.

Big move-up for Mummy, now seven months earlier than expected!

I preferred the summer, but a Mummy film released during spooky season could be fun.

With The Batman 2, Mummy 4, and possibly FNAF 3, October 2027 is easily looking the strongest since 2021.

  5. MV makes perfect sense. Kosinski is too big a director to just dump in August.

Nice to see Mummy moving back to Halloween where it belongs.

Ok, so production for Miami Vice is/was supposed to start this summer, but now it’s been pushed to the following year.

Does that mean that Butler does indeed have space in his schedule for Heat 2 (also supposed to shoot this summer)?

edit: oh shit maybe he’s doing this Park Chan-Wook film instead: [https://deadline.com/2026/04/park-chan-wook-matthew-mcconaughey-austin-butler-pedro-pascal-1236871018/](https://deadline.com/2026/04/park-chan-wook-matthew-mcconaughey-austin-butler-pedro-pascal-1236871018/)
