Internationally this movie is gonna be massive. I think there is a massive disconnect between the critics and audience here. People love MJ… even if the movie is horrible it should still make bank.

What’s the expectation of this grossing worldwide? 500-700M? Biopics typically have good legs but I can also see this one being more fan driven than normal

Most people don’t give a shit about the “craft” of filmmaking. They just want something to take their minds off the real world. If it’s entertaining or interesting enough for them, they’ll go see it.

Here in the UK, I tried to watch it yesterday but tickets were sold out in my local cinema. Planning to watch it next week instead.
Michael will almost certainly have a bigger opening than Bohemian Rhapsody. But that movie had amazing legs. We’ll have to see whether Michael can match Bohemian’s legs.
