According to Variety, Lionsgate hopes that ‘Michael’ can gross at least $700 million worldwide. If it reaches those box office highs, they plan to make at least one more film about Jackson’s life.

I see this movie making between $550M–$700M, so I can see those projected numbers happening, but this doesn’t need a sequel.

I will be surprised if it will make more than 500m.

Make as much money off of a mentally ill dead man as possible, Lionsgate.

This film will make bank, doesn’t matter how bad or good it is. It’s a film on the biggest pop star of all time. Even ones that might believe the allegations will watch this film on the fact that they’d watch a movie on one of the most well known and influential pop figures. Reddit is not real life. Elvis did good. This film will do fine.

One sequel would make sense, I don’t see how there could be *sequel***s**

This film opens to $60 million in the US and ends up at $150 million US/$300 million WW. It probably makes money for them though.

The sequel is gonna be a very big horror movie or a 2 hours episode of Law & Order: SVU. Will it focus on how he loved sharing his bed with kids?
