Goat: The movie had an awful opening day, and the scores are even worse news as the movie is sitting at 89 on CGV(187/210) and a really meh 8.1 on Megabox. Will definitely finish under 100k admits with this WOM and poor opening.
Salmokji: The movie is looking at a drop of under 20% for the entire weekend as presales are solid, but walkups have been very impressive. I am fully on board with 2 million admits and I think people will agree after this weekend.
Demon Slayer: The movie made 657 more admits today as the movie is looking to reach 5.81 million admits before the movie’s rerun is over. Will be very close!
Project Hail Mary: The movie is struggling, but this is not an uncommon phenomenon in South Korea. Usually WOM hits tend to hurt the legs of others, WOM hits, and Salmokji is hurting PHM's legs just like PHM hurt The Man Who Lives With the King’s late legs.
Hoppers: Hoppers made 221 admits as the movie is pretty much done, will likely miss out on 760k admits.
The Man Who Lives With the King: The movie crossed 16.5 million admits as the movie is still aiming for a finish in the range of 16.7 million to 16.9 million admits.
Presales
Super Mario Galaxy: The movie presales stay steady as we see an increase of 1.7k tickets to 5,811 tickets. Not looking at a breakout here.
Devil Wears Prada 2: Presales increased by over 3k admits as the movie’s presales are at 25,828 admits. Will be a modest success with presales looking this strong. Late presales pace will be interesting
The Mummy: Movie is at 4,118 tickets as this movie seems to be another movie that will struggle to miss 100k admits based on its current presales.
