>Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!
>Helmed by director Kitao Sakurai, Street Fighter is set to bring the battle from the arcade to the big screen with Hadoukens, roundhouses, and all your favorite characters.

Given this is a Filmed for IMAX release it’s surprising IMAX hasn’t been mentioned at all over the two trailers, a bit unusual for a FFI film

this has big “super bowl commercial” energy coming from it, like i kept expecting it to cut to timothee chalamet playing the game on his ps5 at the end of it

For what it’s worth, it DOES look a lot of fun to watch. If this succeeds, Legendary should try making a proper **Monster Hunter** film.

I think it looks cheesy in all the right ways. As long as it has some awesome fight scenes, im going to be happy. Thin plot, tons of action.

I have a feeling this will be the best video game to film adaptation ever made.

looks fun as hell.

I like that they’re leaning completely into the absurdity of video game physics/logic/design instead of trying to make it more “realistic” for the movie. I might actually go see this, it seems fun

I’m genuinely impressed by how they managed to get Ken and Ryu’s characterizations so wrong yet once again.

This actually looks awesome! Trailer is incredibly fun!

You know what? This looks so absurdly ridiculous I’m kind of intrigued

Surprisingly it reminds me of the first Mortal Kombat movie from ’95. They seem to be leaning hard into the premise of the game and just accepting that the whole thing is ridiculous. It looks like it could be dumb fun just like that movie was.

It feels like they copied Mortal Kombat’s filming style but made it into a Street Fighter film and I’m okay with that.

I’ll give them credit for keeping the goofy and ridiculous fighting styles in the movie but the casting just holds the movie back

I legitimately love this trailer and can’t fucking wait to see it. It’s going to bomb reviews, but it looks FUN.

I wasn’t sure where to set my expectations for this one, but it actually looks REALLY good.

Looks like a Jesse V. Johnson/Scott Adkins action joint (complimentary).

This looked dumb at first but by the end I”m so sold.

It reminds me of Dragon Ball Evolution, which is a terrible movie and complete bastardization of the original IP, that is extremely fun to watch in a bad movie kind of way.

I cannot wait to see this! Looks amazing!

This Trailer is way better than the Teaser at the Game Awards last year.

Hmmm. The adult in me wants to dislike this movie, but the child in me is pretty excited.
