The December 17, 2027 date also seems to staying put.
To think WB moved up Batman v Superman to get away from Civil War ten years ago, and now they plan on releasing big tentpoles against the Avengers these next two years.

I like all these actors but nobody at all seems excited about the concept of this movie.

Watch Daniel Radcliffe return as Harry Potter in the inevitable Cursed Child adaptation.
5 dump trucks of money will do it.

Sorry, but they should’ve gotten a real director for this. Andy Serkis seems like a nice guy, and I get that he’s part of the franchise, but all his movies as a director have been bad.

Isn’t Stephen Colbert producing this film or another film?

The director of Animal Farm will surely deliver something great!!

There is undying love for the lord of the rings trilogy and you might be able to make an argument that the hobbit trilogy is well liked.
But there is almost zero chance anyone wants to see the search for gollum.

I’m there for Lee Pace’s Thranduil.

This movie is incredibly pointless and I’m not excited at all. I would have taken a proper prequel, that they don’t have rights for, or a sequel over this weird in-between where it’s sort of a sequel but set during Fellowshop of the Ring with main characters whos arc and storylines all get resolved in another movie/set of movies. It’s just a bad idea to make this imo

I just don’t know about Andy serkis directing. I thought venom 2 was the weakest venom movie, and all 3 are quite mediocre

Jamie Dornan as strider is a good choice, no Viggo but I don’t mind it
