Rio was peak early 2010s animated movie vibes. The bright colorful animation, catchy music, and that whole Brazil setting just hit different.

I remember interviewing for a job at Bluesky some years ago and was told my position was no longer necessary after a series of interviews both online and in person, when I followed up on it with the recruiter I was told they weren’t allowed to disclose why, less than 24 hours later they publicly announced the closure of the studio. I really wanted to work there…

I remember seeing this in theaters. I haven’t seen it in years but I remember really liking it.
It’s still crazy to me that the Rio song Real in Rio and Man or Muppet from The Muppets were the only nominees in Original Song at the Oscars that year lol.

This is a guilty pleasure of mine. Unfortunately the dialogue is awkward since English was not the writers native language but I loved the story
