Greta gerwig got billing ahead of Jennifer Garner? That’s strange because Garner was a much bigger name and way more famous at the time

  2. Of all the people Hollywood tried to make popular, Russell Brand is maybe the worst.

  3. OP are you a Maintenance Phase listener? Perfect timing with them dropping a second podcast episode on Brand.

I had no idea about any thing about Russel Brand beyond seeing Get Him to the Greek / Forgetting Sarah Marshall so it was fascinating to learn how he was able to make such big movies in the USA after blowing up his life in the UK, and then after this bombed in the USA, he then went back to the UK where they seemed to forget about everything all over again. Dude should be in jail for his sexual assault history, but just in general, it’s wild that he even got such a huge budget when he was impossible to work with already in US/UK.

I’ve been asleep for 15 years, what’s going on with Russell now?

  5. Russell Brand has gotten really good at calling things “a mistake” in hindsight.
