Never forget the Chicken Jockey trend on Social media where teens recorded the theaters of the Chicken Jockey scene including one video that shows a live actual chicken

Imagine this particular weekend having to be your first day as a theater worker because of:

This movie having the biggest domestic opening weekend last year ($162 million) was not on my bingo card. If you had told me that at the beginning, I would’ve called you insane and laughed. And who knows if it’ll still be the highest grossing domestic film of 2025 (thankfully *Zootopia 2* outgrossed it).

The only good thing about the *Minecraft* movie is that it kicked off a great year for Warner Bros., with seven films in a row opening to $40 million+.

Moana 2026 will be a repeat of this. Looks like shit, trailer gets ratio’ed, but still makes a billion

  5. If any movie deserved a billion it was this movie. What a blast. Better than zootopia even

This movie will soon fall to 3rd place on the video game movie list once Mario hits the $1B mark. But this was very impressive and it even opened higher than both Mario movies! 😅

One of the few movies of last year that I could actually hear chatter about it irl. Probably cause target demo, but still it points to the popularity of the IP

It was the highest-grossing film of 2025 domestically until Zootopia 2 finally passed it. And Zootopia 2 passed it worldwide easily. Mario Galaxy Movie will pass Minecraft Movie domestically and worldwide.
