    1. This feels like a place where it would have made sense to keep the same actor and use de-aging to keep continuity. I’m guessing Viggo disliked the idea and refused to come back.

    2. Yes let’s drain the last drops of life-force from an already exhausted franchise. No-one wants this.

    3. Kill it. Kill the whole thing. This pitch only works if every single actor returns, and Aragorn’s actor not returning is a *massive* blow. If they’re really doing this, they need to get back into negotiations with Viggo as soon as possible.

      He was a maturing actor in his early 40s when he played him 25 years ago. Viggo’s a great actor and his Aragorn is iconic, but if you expected this to go any other way… Well, I envy your optimism.

    5. The more I hear about this movie, the less I understand why it’s even being made.
