I know it’s just the second day and we don’t know how big the drops will be after the first weekend, but once again, there is a clear disconnect between audiences and critics. We shouldn’t doubt an obvious billion dollar hit.

Why not just use the actual title instead of shortening it for no reasom and doing it in a way that makes it more confusing?
Now it almost sounds like Galaxy is $68M ahead of Mario Bros.

There’s a part of me that thinks this will have a bigger drop than the first film, because I keep hearing mixed opinions on it.
But then I look at the RT audience score and on Letterboxd and people seem to liking it roughly as much as the first, so I don’t see why (at the moment) it would have significantly worse legs than the first. $1B at least feels guaranteed.

Box office goes up, quality goes down.
Applying basic correlation maths, the third one will score 33% or so and make several hundred million more.
