My 20 bucks in in there somewhere!

The entire family is going to a 2 pm showing today because I won’t shut up about it. Our retired parents can’t remember the last time they went to a movie theater. We’ve got a whole gaggle of 9 people with tickets in hand for today for the Dolby cinema (3 of those people are on their 3rd showing! haha).

  2. As it should, saw it with my gf. It was almost sold out even in Slovakia, small country in Europe.

  3. Me and 2 family members of mine have seen it 3 times. I’m incredibly happy its doing so well! Outstanding film.

  4. I hope movie studios learn the right lessons from this.

The narrative has been “movie theaters are dying, so it doesn’t matter what we put out, people aren’t coming unless it’s a franchise sequel or a live action remake of an animated movie. So let’s just focus on putting mediocre shit on streaming platforms.”

No. We WILL go out to movie theaters if the movie is good. But yes, movie theater experience is way more expensive than it used to be, so we are much more careful not to go see a movie unless it is actually considered food by critics and audiences.

  5. so glad ti see filmed for imax movies succeeding. about the only thing that gets me into theates these days is premium showings where there is some sort of standard

  6. It’s a true four quadrant movie. My wife never goes to the cinema and doesn’t watch sci-fi. She cried for like an hour after the film, despite the joyful ending, and wants to see it again.

The legs on this thing are going to be incredible.

It really is a movie to get people back in the theater. I cried from laughing. I cried from joy. I cried from sadness. It was everything
