May 2026 could be stronger than we’d think.
$50m OW for Mortal Kombat II would likely lead to at least $115m-$125m DOM. Devil Wears Prada 2 and Michael will be going strong the first few weeks of May. Mario will have some late legs due to an absence of major direct competition until Toy Story 5.
If Sheep Detectives finds an audience, and Backrooms or Passenger gets a breakout, summer should be on a heater until 8/21.

Think it’ll join Dune 2, Godzilla x Kong, and Conjuring 4 as a pandemic WB sequel that breaks out to an $80M+ opening, and even a debut on par with Bloodlines would be solid.
The trailers seem to be giving fans what they want and it’s doing a good job at making it seem like a summer blockbuster.
