AMC’s stock value peaked in July 2021. Since then, it has largely gone downhill and could be de-listed if it goes and stays under a dollar. If you were in charge, what would you do to improve the AMC’s stock value?

I remember how it became a r/wallstreetbets meme stock a few years ago.

Wasn’t that a short squeeze in 2021?

If I were in charge, I would sell all of AMC’s properties to a separate holding company and charge each location an exorbitant amount of rent.
And as each location slowly shuddered under the losses, the properties would be sold to real estate developers to build overpriced assisted living facilities and unaffordable McMansions on.
Eventually I’d hope to get fired so I could use my multi-million dollar severance package to buy a home out in Utah.
Sorry, what company was I supposed to be the ghoulish CEO of again? Toys R Us? Eh whatever, not like it matters.

The five year chart of IMAX is kind of the opposite of this

Free tickets for kids under 18 if they are with an adult who is a member of whatever AMC’s subscription plans are called

Good time to buy before box office returns to near* pre pandemic levels

To be fair AMC was only ever as high as it was because of a meme. Its peak was never its real value.
I also think that meme peak kinda masked a stock that was already fading into irelevancy.
Without the 2021 shenanigans AMC stock probably dies years earlier.

I dont feel movie theaters have much room left to milk their customers.
For the most part, movie stocks are falling because they have lost so many customers.

Amc has about 4B in debt obligations. Until that debt is paid off significantly the stock won’t improve.
Frankly, they’ll probably end up filling for bankruptcy like Regal. The meme stock craze a few years ago helped them kick the can down the road, but the chickens will come home to roost

stock value isnt one to one with real value. its speculation. the speculators say traditional media will never overtake social media or youtube. that affects producers too, but distributors like amc the most. the stock is unrecoverable ever since youtube and netflix got popular.

Didn’t realize AMC is so cheap.
