To now having a universe consisting of four movies (with more sure to come) and a show in which characters like Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, and now Amy and Metal Sonic all exist. Had they kept that original design, we would’ve never seen anything past that first movie.

I thought we wouldn’t see him until his solo project – don’t know where he really fits into the CD story but I will go in with an open mind.
