I don’t think lightning was very successful bringing this to life

Wow that’s a solid -46.1% dro-
Wait what do you mean this is worldwide?

An $80-90M budget, and the worldwide numbers won’t even be half of that.

Passion project with huge budget, its gonna be an L for WB

Here I was thinking 28YL: The Bone Temple flopped hard, but compared to this and the movies budget, it has a pretty stellar performance lol

When that’s all said and done, it’s worldwide total will gross even less than Amsterdam’s (an another Christian Bale starrer) $31M total.
Embarrassing numbers.

What a dumpster fire

It’s probably for the best, Buckley is so bad in this that it could have jeopardised her Oscar.

Insult to injury holy shit. They should have just bit the bullet and released this in October. Halloween and Frankenstein was on the mind. Yeah it would still have unfavorable comparisons, but would absolutely get some tailwinds.

I think Netflix was lucky to just go with Toro’s Frankenstein

Christian Bale would usually have the pull to get me to watch, but the amount of times I saw the awful trailers for this film put me off. Pretty much from the first time I saw it

Wait… did Wolf Man last year make more worldwide by its second weekend than THE BRIDE! ?!?!?

WB’s amazing streak is finally over
I’m surprised they didn’t dump this in January or delayed it to Halloween to scrape some spooky season viewers.

At first I thought of seeing it, but the trailer’s vibe was all over the place and cringy in spots. Probably will wait for streaming.

It finally made more worldwide than the Dark Knight made in its domestic midnight opening screenings of 18M
Small progress for the Bale – Gyllenhaal cinematic universe

So glad Kiki Delivery Service got the IMAX screening before PHM took over or else it will be a waste of imax if the Bride had all of the imax screening.

I had zero desire to see this movie from the trailers. I’m glad I didn’t waste my time.

How dare people not support an awful film, if only they marketed the film better to try and trick people into seeing it, so they could waste people’s time but at least it’s money towards the film

Another observation, nobody cares about Christian Bale anymore

I think the problems with this movie are made clear by the fact that they decided that the word motherf—-ker should be on the poster that was in the movie theater lobbies. That’s an ad that should maybe be on some deep corners of Reddit. I think giving a blank check to Maggie Gyllenhal clearly bounced. She should be making < $5 million Indy movies at best. (The tagline was “Here comes the motherfuc—-in bride” on the poster)
