Damn this was already last year. Every year I try to see a movie on my work anniversary. I saw this for my 3rd work anniversary. It was..not the best just all over the place.

“From the director of Parasite” was really the true selling point of the movie, yet it only attracted cinephiles.

Although it’s visually ambitious and built on a strong idea, the film feels like a mix of different movies (I was thinking of Moon, Starship Troopers, and Nausicaä while watching), with clashing tones. Bong Joon Ho’s films often shift in tone, but they usually center on a clear theme. This one feels unfocused despite its promising concept.

I decided not to watch it because Mark Ruffalo is too politically outspoken (and annoying). I want actors to stay away from politics on both sides Left and Right.

  5. Hated just about everything about this film. Going from Parasite to Mickey 17 has to be the biggest dropoff a director has ever endured.

And somebody should be shot over the fact that there are 15 (!) Mickeys on the poster. You’re so close!
