Fun fact: despite there only being 2 Filmed For IMAX films so far in 2026, I believe both these and Mercy will be the lowest grossing FFI films in history and the only two not to make at least $100m worldwide. Not a good look
I’ve got IMAX tickets for Sunday but by all means it looks to be very divisive

Compared to other *Frankenstein* adaptations, it’s better than *Victor Frankenstein* (C) but worse than *Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein* (B–).

I saw it tonight…very weird and all over the place film. While I didn’t hate it, I expected this to be in the D or F Cinemascore rating.

The movie’s got great performances and some memorable sequences, but it’s really messy in a way that even casual moviegoers will notice

the first WB film to score lower than a B- since Joker: Folie à Deux

DOA.

I guarantee you that if they removed that Mary Shelley possession bullshit then this would’ve gotten a B. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one single creative choice manage to burn an entire movie down like that one did.

Seeing this with my mum tomorrow- she’ll eat up pretty much any movie so I’m kind of excited to see her reaction to this.

Oh geez… that doesn’t look good for its opening weekend especially with its legs tracking to do worse

Yeah I might not even watch it if it’s going to be a waste of time
