Unfortunately looking like this weekend will be a misfire for @thebridefilm and @warnerbros . Headed for a $12m-$17m opening depending on how the actual reviews come out. Can’t win them all, @netflix passing due to budget was a doomed sign from the start.

Wait till you see the numbers from China.
I’m predicting sub $10M

I mean it’s just another Frankenstein project but with a Bonnie and Clyde filter. Doesn’t really sound or look interesting
I couldn’t believe how high the budget was
the right marketing could’ve made this work
the last Christian Bale – Maggie gyllenhaal movie had midnight opening screening numbers of $18.5M in 2008…..
on the bright side – highest grossing Jesse buckely movie in live action domestically
There was nothing in the trailers that made this look even remotely interesting.
Yeah it always was an uphill battle for this seems reception won’t be strong enough to help it find an audience outside cinephiles
I had a feeling this would bomb at the box office. Hopefully reviews are good and maybe the film will have small legs financially.
Makes no sense why this isn’t an October release.
I guess Netflix preferred to stay loyal to Guillermo del Toro, rather than giving a big budget for a Frankenstein film to an unproven filmmaker.
