  1. Dear David Zaslav,

You just pissed away a 103 year-old movie studio, the home of Hollywood’s best and brightest for decades, to a bunch of crypto-fascist goons with an AI kink hell bent on turning us into a Neo-Russia.

Children’s favorite characters will indoctrinate their loyalty to the state. America’s most iconic cable news channel is set to be gutted. HBO is dead. The new DC universe is, once again, strangled before it can begin. The combined company will be an overleveraged disaster up for sale again in a few years. And one company will control up to 35% of the global box office. All. For an extra. Goddamned. *Buck.*

I say the following statement, with all my heart and soul. Even knowing that you’re never going to read this. Even knowing that this was always gonna be how and why you wanted it to end.

    ***Fuck. You.***

If I’m right, and there’s a God out there? Hope you burn after taking your last breath.

You’re a disgrace to the Warner Bros. name. And always will be. Remember that.

    Sincerely,

    u/KingMario05

  2. It was all staged lmao. Trump was behind this, the Netflix CEO literally went to meet with Trump before the deal and he told him what to do.

They just drived up the price. Netflix never had any intention of buying Warner Bros because it’s not in their Business mode

I would say Ellison/Paramount bullied their way into this, but the reality is that Zaslav likely wanted this all along, to get a higher price for the company being sold/Use Netflix as Bait against Paramount.

Whatever, MAGA is going to crumble by 2029 since Trump can’t run a third term (KNOCK ON WOOD), so it’s up to whoever buys WB/Paramount next to clean up this mess.

I just hope we still get The Batman Part II and Man of Tomorrow out the way Reeves and Gunn intended, since a merger takes a while to get approved. If that means those are the final installments for their franchises, so be it, but I think those 2 movies would be a good jumping off point for DC as it is today before Paramount fucks everything up.

  4. Can anyone explain to me why Paramount are so desperate for this deal? Like, is Paramount in big trouble if this deal doesn’t grow through? Are they in worse spot than 20 century fox were during their final years?

  5. See you in five years when this acquisition becomes a complete failure and Netflix comes in to buy it for much less than it originally had planned

  6. I just hope the layoffs won’t completely disrupt the whole industry like they did last time
    (They probably will)

  7. This may be good for box office but this will be terrible for all WB properties. Paramount is complete ass quality. Also let’s be real the biggest reason this went down is for political reasons. Don’t blame Netflix for taking a free $3B from paramount but ultimately this will be a bad thing imo.

  8. The saddest part of it all is Netflix saying they literally didn’t need it and it would of been nice to have, literally saying screw the studios

  9. RIP WB. Paramount is gonna destroy it and turn everything to AI and everything will never be the same.

  10. I’ve never been more happy that I don’t subscribe to Paramount Plus. I wish everyone would drop their subscription

Guess I won’t be seeing anymore WB movies! Sorry James Gunn, Mike Deluca, and Pam abdy

I can already guess their first moves…Bari Weiss is gonna be cast as Batman and Peter Attia is gonna be her Robin 😭😭🥲

  12. I guess I’ll have to spend my time doing something else besides going to the movies.

I heard sailing is a lovely hobby.
