With such mixed reviews from even the armchair / online critics I can’t see word of mouth being especially strong on this. I wouldn’t be surprised if it opens high at 60M or so because of the combo of V-Day/Prez Day, but then falls off a cliff the next weekend.

I mean that is not bad, I’ve had a great time with lower rated movies than that

I’m going in with a optimistic mind but not expecting anything great. I’ll let the movie win me over if it wants to, if not then at least I’m using A-List so I’m not paying out of pocket so I’m only paying with my time.
My rule of thumb is that if it’s a movie like this, if it’s good in my first viewing I’ll go again in a different PLF. Dolby will be my first choice, if it’s good I’ll go to an imax showing. If it’s not then I won’t waste my time and instead I’ll just watch Crime 101 again. (Which I was gonna do anyway but still).

Gonna be a smash but it isn’t catered to Reddit/letterboxd so it will come as a shock to some.

It’s a similar score to Saltburn which absolutely blew me away.

This is going to be very frontloaded

Seems fine for the movie I’d be expecting.

it’s crazy that people aren’t able to enjoy two hours of Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie being horny because of some asinine obsession with faithfulness to the source material
go outside, touch some grass, and then go see this movie and enjoy the hell out of it

This is making 400 maybe 500M. Its already looking at a 70M open
