Like him or not, he sold Marty Supreme to the general public with his performance, and now it’s A24’s highest grossing movie and a Best Picture nominee. Dude has proved more than enough times that he’s a draw, or at least as close as you can get to one these days
Dude has a good career planning. He took Leos advice serious and is kinda picky with his roles and who he works with. Villeneuve, Paul King, Safdie, Mangold…..these guys are great filmmakers and almost always deliver at least solid films. It could have been the other way around (Chris Pratt)
He’s gonna come back with ten times more!
He’s a draw. He sold Marty with his unconventional campaigning which was a huge risk but it paid off. It’s easy to change dresses on the red carpet, which is a basic minimum everyone does to promote a movie, but this was an actual effort to sell a tough sell.
Recently watched *Wonka* (2023), and was pleasantly surprised at Chalamet’s whimsical portrayal of the character.
No wonder that the film grossed $634m.

Love his career path so far! And yeah, he’s one of the few actors to get folks to show up. Looking forward to whatever he does next.
If nothing else, Hollywood has certainly taken note of how hard he works to promote his movies. He’s not going to sleepwalk through a press run like other A-listers, he will do everything in his power to get people in the theatres. Given how hard it is for original movies to break through, I’m sure this is very valuable to studios.
