Valentine’s Day / President’s Day weekend shaping up big at the box office. Sony’s Goat is excellent, sales are strong and will go $20m+. WB’s Wuthering Heights is also excellent and continues to pick up steam. $50m+ happening, let’s see how high it can go.

Very surprising for Wuthering Heights tracking good numbers from its estimated $40M

Meanwhile for Goat, a $20M-$25M range should be really good as well that should make a comeback for animated original IP

Im hearing GOAT mirrors the quality (animation and story) of the spider verse movies. Big if true

If Goat can do $20M, then you gotta wonder how K-Pop Demon Hunters could’ve done had Sony not sold it to Netflix.

GOAT and Hoppers both doing well would be a much needed good sign for original theatrical animation in the post-COVID market

  5. I wasn’t expecting GOAT to get great reviews. I assumed it would be generic from the trailers. Great for Caleb McLauglin.

  6. Goat doing that well is fucking shocking to me. I sincerely expected it to do single digits to super low double digits OW.

  7. Wuthering Heights has been getting good reviews, so I think it can go much higher. It seems to be a crowd pleaser and less shock value, more tragic love story than assumed. Don’t know why Hollywood continues to underestimate the female market.
