If he wants a 30 film annual slate, he can… already do that? Not like he doesn’t own a major studio already. I’m assuming it’s going to be *easier* to do with the 70 billion burning a hole through his pocket.
Why would the UK creative community even care? It’s really hard to make a British film. What would they benefit from his deal? Netflix already knows they have to make some concessions in Europe for the deal to pass. They’ll probably keep HBO separate for a while. This crybaby doesn’t make any sense.
Ellison really is a human parrot – all he does is repeat himself. He might have had a chance to keep himself in the running for WB if he just upped his bid, but all he did was reiterate the same deal over and over. And when that failed, he flat out sued them.
Like, even if he somehow offered a trillion dollars for the company, he’s already alienated them from wanting him to buy it simply on account of him being a headache to deal with.
He is very much acting like Trump.
