Barely missed the 2X multiplier even with the December release date

Considering we went from Empire saying “sub 25M opening“ to “lol this is gonna miss 100m despite opening to 64 million“ by so many in this sub. and the reception, this is certainly the best result possible. FNAF 3 in 2027 shall be interesting. Perhaps with Matthew Lillard being the main character this time can help considering he’s one of the most praised parts of both.

FNAF may not be in its peak days, yet the fanbase is still just as durable. Reviews were even more terrible than the first and it still came close to the original’s numbers thanks to the surprisingly smart December date.

The first one did better and launched day and date on Peacock.

Considering it seemed that people thought this would bomb, I’m good with this result. I can’t really see the franchise expanding past the third one unless things change though

Any chance they actually hire a competent director for the third one? Tamme is awful and together with the creator/screenwriter is handicapping just how popular this series could be if the movies were, you know, actually good.
I expected the domestic numbers to drop compared to the sequel and the international numbers to stay consistent, surprised that it was the exact opposite
