I gotta say. I haven’t seen the film, and am only tangentially familiar with this guy and this game.
But good on him for self financing and releasing this thing in 4000 theaters.
That deserves some respect and I’m here to give it to him. Those numbers are going to turn heads

quality of the film aside, i’m very proud of mark for getting this far with this. entirely self-funded, no major studios distributing it, just dedicated hard work from top to bottom, and then his fans for the most part politely helped get this from ultra-small release to over 3k screens in the US, and to top it all off it’s now gonna be able to turn in a good profit. good success story to start off the year with, could not have happened to a nicer dude!

Very nice: I expect this to drop severely next week similar to the FNAF films though as this is very frontloaded like those: the target audiences are similar

I think 2026 January could hit a record high of 590 million dollar surpassing that of 2023 or could even hit 600 million dollar. Thanks to new release that have incredible WOM.

Glad to see it. I know nothing about this guy (not a big YouTuber) but this is a pretty neat story. Hope he succeeds and I’ll try and catch this movie at some point.
