Hate the way that these 60 year old farts still be saying animation is for babies adults have to watch live action stuff only.
Idk but it pisses me off.

Awesome to see how popular Wild Robot was, it was one of my favorite movies of 2024

For anyone still doubting the live-action Moana on making a billion this year. The first film is beloved, has all the best songs and a far better storyline.

Chamber of secrets random appearance. I mean, why is the Philosopher’s Stone or any other Potter films not there? Not complaining though because it’s a good movie.
Edit: Never mind, the philosopher’s stone is there… its named the sorcerer’s stone.

Impressive to see Cars keeping up with the new kids stuff despite being 20 years old!
And Kraven on the “general interest” list seems fitting, as that movie felt like it was made for streaming in the first place (I’m sorry Aaron you deserved so much better)

So glad to see The Wild Robot on the list! I’d expect a sequel to get dated for 2027 or 2028

Have to wonder how much a Cars 4 would make if the original is still doing great in the charts.
Pixar definitely would’ve turned this into their Ice Age (getting this to five movies with no 13 year long gap like other Pixar sequels) if Cars 3 was a success because of the crazy merch money. Given their return to Inside Out, Toy Story, Incredibles, and Coco, another Cars film not being on their minds is pretty surprising.

So overall Top 10 would be:
1. Kpop Demon Hunters
2. Moana 2
3. Despicable Me 4
4. Happy Gilmore 2
5. Wicked
6. Back in Action
7. Moana
8. Frozen
9. Cars
10. The Wild robot.
This must be the first time Nielsen separated the kids movies from General movies. Doesn’t make sense to me. Anyway, that Moana remake is gonna make a ton of money. Frozen’s longevity is insane, and I’m surprised Encanto is nowhere to be seen on the list.

Cars is surprisingly because it hasn’t appeared on the top 10 Nielsen charts per weekly although the kids and fans who grew up the Cars brand just watched the film on Disney+
