As of last night's update it's official, 2025 has outperformed 2024 at the NA BO for in year releases. 2025 releases made around $27m this weekend. they'll continue to creep up over the next month or 2 with the final tally expected to hit around $8.7b.

I think the industry was hoping 2025 would break 9 billion at the very least.
if 2025 was the first year of normality – its not great news
