Movie’s only 3 years old, so the numbers aren’t all that bad.

I am interested in seeing how significant Fire and Ash’s falloff from Way of Water is going to be. Disney has shown more restraint in not milking Avatar like they have other acquired franchises, but a 13-year gap to a 3-year gap is about as significant as the space between Star Wars ROTS and TFA vs. the post-TFA releases. Not that a drop similar to Avatar to TWOW would still be a $1.5 billion gross, but I’m interested in seeing if the franchise remains as massive as it settles into a every-three-years pattern.
