Coming to theaters in Fall 2026, Disney’s #Hexed is an all-new original film that follows a teenage oddball and his mom, who discover his weirdness is actually hidden magic, transporting them to a world where magic can run free.

Feels very Pixar
That sounds cool i guess
My expectations for any WDAS originals are at sub-basement level after the 1-2 punch of Strange World and Wish, then passing off a TV series as Moana 2.
I have no idea how this will do. Audiences have made it clear they are not interested in original animation in theatres.
So what event is going on? I thought D23 was next year

Another parent figure-child focused movie after Elio and Strange World ? It doesn’t give me hope at all especially if the magic world in the trailers will feel generic.
It’s currently slated for Thanksgiving weekend alongside Focker-In-Law (Meet The Parents 4) and the wide IMAX release of Greta Gerwig’s Narnia
Someone failed to learn the lesson from weird kid and weird aliens from Elio.
An original movie…nice 🫡
not feeling very hopeful, interesting that this is disney’s thanksgiving pick hopefully they promote it properly
Trying my best not to doom post right now.
Sorry, but this sounds like a chatgpt idea.
The concept art gives me Spider-verse vibes for some reason.
But the last three WDAS weren’t the best, even Moana 2, the best out of there last three was not that great (which isnt saying much for both statements because I thought Moana 2 was just okay and nothing special beyond that).
So, we will have to wait and see.
Fingers crossed
This does sound cool but I’ll wait til we see the teaser to decide if it’s gonna be another Strange World/Wish situation
Hexed, Tangled, Frozen…we are lucky TS5 isn’t called Toyed
Yeah this will likely flop, calling it now. Disney will fumble the marketing again.
I feel like I’ve seen this before just from the picture and short description alone
I don’t understand not having this in October with the whole magic aspect
Is it a musical? Did they announce who is directing it?
Well very little is known, but if they wanted a witch type character, making the MC a male is definitely a choice. I would have leaned female and sell witch costumes during Halloween (i.e Kiki)
Can’t wait for the Satanic Panic/boycotts around this, especially in this political climate. /s
Who’s writing and directing?
This is just gonna be another stinker if they stick with that trashy corporate 3D animation style
Reminds me of Halloween town
Agatha All Along?
Isn’t this just the owl house?
>a teenage oddball and his mom, who discover his weirdness is actually hidden magic, transporting them to a world where magic can run free.
The main appeal of isekai stories is that the protagonist goes on an adventure to escape the real world. Having their mom present undermines this premise. And also we are know what the story gonna be about. The protagonist gonna feel like he is accepted in this magic world, while their mom learns to embrace her child’s “weirdness”.
