Call me old fashioned but making a biopic of someone who’s still very much alive feels kinda… tacky?

Springsteen is still playing 3 hour shows and doing some of his best creative work. JAW’s great and all, but he can’t compete with that.

  2. I’m a Bruce stan (and The Bear fan) and I don’t like this. Jeremy is a great actor but he does not have Bruce energy.

Nebraska isn’t even an “interesting” era of Springsteen’s life. He was depressed and wrote the album alone in his house.

A more interesting story would be the Tunnel of Love era. The pressure of following up his most successful album, the tensions in the E Street band, the marriage and divorce with his first wife, the cheating and new relationship with his current wife (who is also a member of the band.) There’s actual drama there.

I always felt like Hugh Jackman looks kinda like Springsteen, and with his vocal talent, enough so that he can and should be the one who plays Bruce in the inevitable biopic.

  4. Yall got mad at superhero movies and remakes so studios said get ready for 78 biopics lol

lol this is a terrible choice but i also can’t think of any younger actor who has a bruce vibe so.

  6. As a massive Bruce fan…no. Nebraska is a sacred album and it can’t be translated to a movie. Yes the album was written in a Snoopy binder but that’s the only enjoyable moment of its production because Bruce was Depressed and going through Things.

And Jeremy Allen White? In what absolute world? Absolutely not. Dominic Sessa could do it, but he’s too tall and young.

I’d rather a documentary about the making of this album. This doesn’t need dramatization.

I’m the rare one that likes biopics sometimes but I don’t see this one. JAW is a fantastic actor but I don’t see the resemblance and I don’t know how he’d play Bruce.
