    Jemaine Clement confirms a sequel to the original ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ movie is officially being written

      I truly hope the TV Show characters are involved. One of the only sequel/spin offs that eclipses the original

      In the end I came to like the FX show more than the original movie but I’d love to see this.

      That’s great to hear although with how fantastic the TV series is I was hoping we’d get a movie of that cast aswell.

      Wonder if they will show up in this one or maybe show what these guys were doing before / after their odd appearance on the show.

      They’ve been talking about this for years. It’s good to know that they’re still working on it but the article doesn’t really indicate that this has any kind of studio backing/budget. Don’t get too excited just yet

      With the comments flying I have to say. It would be a massive mistake not to bring in the cast with the movie vampires. You’d seriously piss off an entire fan base so quickly.

      Doesn’t need to happen IMO. The movie kinda sucked. The show, however, was amazing.

      This always gets claimed whenever Clement does a press tour for something else so not holding my breath. It would be nice to see it actually get maid, but maybe it’s best they leave it be, we got an excellent film and a surprisingly excellent show from the premise.

      I hope it’s with a different set of vampires. That way we don’t end up with all these people looking aged, and give new actors a chance at a medium size named title.

      I definitely prefer the movie over the show and it’s not even close for me. Happy to hear this!

      Not sure how much gold there is to mine after the show fully explored the concept.

      But I’ll wear the Jackie Daytona tshirt my daughter got me to the movie.

      I prefer the film personally, know that might be a hot take around these parts but it’s just so rewatchable

      Oh man. Please do the We’re Wolves idea it could be so good. Then give me another TV series based off the werewolf clan.

      So is it a sequel to the show too? Does it pretend the show never happend? It would ba damn shame to just un cannon the show after the actors from the first movie all made cameos in it.

      Just finished the first series of Wellington Paranormal which is the spin off of the police in the film. Wonder if they’ll lean into Wellington just being a completely mad paranormal city or just stick to vampire stuff.

      The relaxed ambivalent kiwi attitude combined with complete madness happening around them works really well.
