That’s surprising. I hope this time it will be bit closer to the book, which is also really good.

I think Zac is due for a Robert Pattinson-esque renaissance. He’s a very good actor, even going back to sillier things like High School Musical and Hairspray. I didn’t love the Ted Bundy movie overall but I thought he was great in it, and The Iron Claw was an even better showcase.

Considering Efron’s recent issues with his face/jaw and the perception he messed himself up with plastic surgery (I’m not saying he did or didn’t. I really have no clue), it’s funny that he’d take a role once played beautifully by Mickey Route, another one-time mega hunk who fucked up his whole face and career w plastic surgery.

If at least >!the hard boiled egg!< scene can be successfully replicated, I’ll be a happy man

This could be really good. The movie still gives me a little bit of anxiety to this day. A good adaptation could get me a prescription to the good drugs.

i like the rourke movie and the book (but you get the feeling the writer was very excited to do period appropriate racism) so hopefully this should be good.

I recall often [this very old YouTube video](https://youtu.be/9MwT_10russ?t=163) of James Franco (in the midst of getting a haircut) interviewing his brother Dave.
James says, “You worked with both Zac Effron and Zach Braff…”
Dave’s like, “Yeah…” but in a somewhat suspicious way because James is smiling from to ear to ear.

James: “Which Zac(h) do you like better?”
