The artists “not knowing” about the political connection feels a bit disingenuous but at least some of them are course correcting I guess.
“…Independence Day initiative tarted by the Trump administration…” was not on my bingo card for things I’d read today. Tart being a word for a prostitute puts a whole different spin on this whole topic.
Then take the stage and protest what’s happening. Use the platform you’ve been given.
