That seems extremely early for a film that audiences are flocking to

It gained +101% in it’s second weekend at the Aussie box office, studio execs are the dumbest people in entertainment.

“Rumors have been swirling that Focus Features will bring the movie home to Digital on June 2, which would be one week from today. These rumors are unconfirmed at this time,”

This seems ridiculous to me. It’s enjoying one of the best & most surprising box office runs anyone has seen in years

> These rumors are unconfirmed at this time, however, and it’s hard to imagine that Focus Features would want to cut into the film’s box office profits so early in its theatrical release.
But let’s publish anyway.

Based on the box office numbers I wouldn’t be surprised if it got pushed back.

Pointless to go see movies in theaters now. Everything comes out online in just a couple weeks.

Idk if I can watch this movie a second time, it’s just so draining

Bloody Disgusting looking to crash those theater numbers with rumors of streaming next week. What a time to be a horror fan.

This has got to stop. Give these movies a chance to perform at the box office!

nah not happening. then they’ll have a story about its doing so well that they delayed the digital release

It was scheduled for 6/2 when it seemed it was going to be a niche film. Now that it’s taken off, I’m willing to wager that date is delayed to allow for more legs in the theater.
fate_is_a_sandstorm on
I doubt it. Even if they think it’ll lose legs with Backrooms coming out this weekend, I think the two will help each other – I wouldn’t be surprised to have people seeing both movies on the same day as a horror double feature

Saw it twice this weekend. If you haven’t seen it yet, do your best to catch it in theaters.

Keep it in theaters yo

And Project Hail Mary is still in theaters 2 months later wtf.

LA has a ton of showings this weekend, and seats are filling up. They even added more compared to last week. Highly recommend seeing it in theatres while you can.

Universal only releases their movies on PVOD after 2 weeks if the film had a low opening weekend and a massive drop the week later. This film had the opposite happen so I doubt this is true.
Competitive_Help8485 on
I don’t believe the rumors of it releasing on the 2nd are true. I can’t picture them wanting to take it out of theaters when it’s on such a roll right now.

What are they doing?! This film is just picking up steam!
